April time!

3/27/2023

Hey another week has gone by and lots of teaching has happened this week! It is so much fun to teach!!! And we are teaching more everyday! Lots of exciting things are happening and coming up in the mission and in life! We have General Conference and Easter coming, such a fun exciting time! But here is a story that was told to me by my mission president and I love and cherish it!

As Easter time approaches, let me share with you the tender story of an eleven-year-old boy named Philip, a Down’s syndrome child who was in a Sunday School class with eight other children.
Easter Sunday the teacher brought an empty plastic egg for each child. They were instructed to go out of the church building onto the grounds and put into the egg something that would remind them of the meaning of Easter.
All returned joyfully. As each egg was opened there were exclamations of delight at a butterfly, a twig, a flower, a blade of grass. Then the last egg was opened. It was Philip’s, and it was empty!
Some of the children made fun of Philip. “But, teacher,” he said, “teacher, the tomb was empty.”
A newspaper article announcing Philip’s death a few months later noted that at the conclusion of the funeral eight children marched forward and put a large empty egg on the small casket. On it was a banner that said, “The tomb was empty.”

Matthew 28:1
"In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher."

I have a strong testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ I know he lives! He has walked the streets with me everyday here in NYC! Love you all have a great week!

3/20/2023

Heyyyy everyone spring time is coming and the weather is getting better in Connecticut. Been seeing the Miracles on the daily! Really it gets hard to write these emails there are always something new that happens and it just all becomes so much that you forget sometimes and it becomes just the same missionary work. lol  We did help a lady push her car that was dead so got to use the muscles again so that felt good!

Nikki got baptized this last week! She is seriously one of the most prepared people I have ever taught on my mission! Wants to go to the temple and get sealed with her husband so bad! She is just so amazing!!! Last Sunday she shared her testimony with the whole ward, that was a very cool testimony to listen to with her own conversion story! She wants to talk with the Laing family some day and say thanks to everyone, so shoot out to the best family! Love you all, have a great week!
