Tyson started HMTC today. There is something special about having it in your own Home and the Special Spirit that is there. It was noticeably absent when he left. Loved this time with him.

Farewell

Today was Tyson's Farewell, he did an amazing good job. He put a lot of thought into it and practiced it for weeks. His Farewell was at 12:00. After church we had invited both his grandparents over to be with us and have his favorite dinner- pork chops. Then at 4:30 off we all went to the Stake Center to meet with Pres. Farnes and his Bishop, Bishop Hartvigsen for his Setting Apart as a Missionary. It was very special experience.

Kurtis was able to listen to Tyson's Farewell in Mesa.

Open-House

We had an Open-House for Tyson for Family and Friends the Saturday night before his Farewell talk on Sunday. We worked hard all day getting ready and setting it all up. We had everything set up in our backyard and it looked great, until a storm was going to be coming through with high winds too. So we changed plans and moved everything up in our front garages with canopies set up out front to help keep people dry. The winds came and we had to take the canopies down, but we had the garage all set up with chairs and food, it all worked out and family and friends were able to come and go and wish him well. We had a good time seeing everyone that came. But sadly I forgot to take any pictures as I was so busy visiting with everyone and taking care of the food. My sister Tennille happened to snap one of her with Tyson, so that's I have to show for Tyson's Open-House... so thankful she got those. :)

Tyson's trip to Kurtis

Tyson left the morning of the 17th of August and it just so happens that Bishop's father and mother in-law lives there and they were happy to be asked to pick Tyson up from the airport and drop him off to Kurtis' apartment for a day and a half. Tyson was able to be with him until the next day and was picked back up at 9:00 that night and stayed the night with Bishop's in-laws and flew home the next morning on the 19th. What an incredible experience this was for the two of them. (I have a video of their reunion, but it wouldn't upload here... )

Family trip to Coeur d'Alene!

Aug 8th-12th, 2021

We took a family trip to Helena Montana and took a boat tour through the Gates of the Mountain and then onto to Coeur d'Alene (CDA) and stayed in our kind neighbors, the Zimmers, lakeside humble Cabin with a lake to enjoy all we wanted! It was gorgeous! We loved this time with Tyson before he left.
