Rats

7/25/2022

Hello everyone! There are miracles everywhere and I am so grateful to see these miracles as a missionary. This week we have been praying for a family that is ready for the gospel and willing to learn! We have prayed and prayed this whole week we have seen amazing miracles of many friends wanting to come closer to our Savior Jesus Christ! But Sunday morning we had a part member family come and this family was amazing! Had a great conversation before church started and the Dad is wanting to get baptized!! So grateful for how much the Lord shows his love and how much we see his hands in the work!

Also the church has some rat problems we have been trying to deal with lol.... I truly know this church to be true and grateful for the many blessings and things we learn from the gospel! I know Jesus is the Christ and the light and life of the world. Here are some pictures of some fun things that has been going on lately. Hope you all have a great week!

Pictures for the week!

7/18/2022

The day Kurtis came home, I had connections with someone in New York that lived about 10 minutes away from Tyson who was happy to drop a little love note and treat off to him from us. We knew it would be a hard day for him and all of us too was missing him that day. Made us so happy we could show him some love and grateful for the help from this sweet lady.

Tyson didn't have time to send us an email this week. He did tell us the week Kurtis came home was the longest week ever for him. :( But he did share with us these photos, they got to go to the Grand Central Station on their P-day. He said is was hype and fun! :)

Bedbugs πŸͺ²

7/11/22

Hey hey! This week has been an interesting one for sure, started off a little weird and hard. Said goodbye to a lot of my good missionary friends! I was able to take a picture with my trainer Elder Lund (right before he went home) along with my new companion that I am training! A little sad to see all my good friends leave but happy for them and the next things in life for them.

This week was also full of many moments of Joy! Our good friend Edwin got baptized last week! Everything was going well, and we were ready for his baptism last Saturday, until the day before when we got a call from the ward telling us that the church has bed bugs.... So they would be cleaning the church spraying for all these bed bugs. So Friday night was a long night figuring everything out for this baptism. We were able to get permission to baptize him at another church building, we called all the members and were able to get them to come to his baptism at the church building in Manhattan on 66th Street. That building is the Temple/Church. They are in the same building which is very cool! Awesome experience for Edwin, he was so happy he was getting baptized there.

Well if everyone remembers Elias he was the one we baptized a little over a month ago he was able to get the priesthood. We invited him to baptize Edwin!! It was an amazing time! Seeing Elias baptizing for the first time and Edwin being baptized they were both so happy! It brought great Joy!! The BEST part is Elias and Edwin are now like best friends!! They have the same hobbies and are homies, we are also sharing the after baptism messages with them together!! It has truly been blessed here in Manhattan and I am so grateful to be able to be a part of the Lord's work! I love seeing how joy comes from serving and also comes from living the Gospel.

Hope everyone is doing well, also hope my amazing brother Kurtis has a great time coming home this week! Love you brother, grateful for your example you have been to me and everyone these last 2 years! Everyone have a great week!!

4th πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

7/4/2022

Wow wow it has been some time since I have sent out an email! Another transfer has flown by, Manhattan has been treating me well and I have enjoyed my time with Elder Peck. Elder Peck is now leaving, I am staying in Manhattan and I am getting a new missionary this transfer so I will be training!! We will see how this transfer goes, I am excited and nervous but all will be good.

The work here is moving forward, we have lots of people that are preparing for baptism and so many Miracles recently. It's so hard to share every miracle that has happened but this last week we have had days full of teaching. This one experience we had teaching this week was super cool, we were teaching this mom and her daughter. The mom didn't feel like coming but decided to move her schedule to make it, they shared their testimonies when we were talking, it was so cool to see their love towards our Savior! They were both grateful they came and told us they felt at peace. They came to church soooo excited to continue to help them!

Also here is a crazy story of one of our friends that is truly committed to coming closer to Jesus Christ. He told us nothing would stop him from coming to church and 2 Sundays ago he did not show up to church... us being all disappointed we called him later that night and asked him what happened, he told us he was riding his bike on his way to church, had a seizure and then got hit by a bus..... so please pray for him but he said he is doing fine. We ended up meeting with him this week and he is such a legend he has the BIGGEST desire to be baptized and wants to be a missionary in the future!!

There has been lots and lots of miracles, loving the mission and all is going well. Hope all is going well for everyone, been praying for all of you. Happy 4th of July! Have a great week!!
