Bedbugs 🪲

7/11/22

Hey hey! This week has been an interesting one for sure, started off a little weird and hard. Said goodbye to a lot of my good missionary friends! I was able to take a picture with my trainer Elder Lund (right before he went home) along with my new companion that I am training! A little sad to see all my good friends leave but happy for them and the next things in life for them.

This week was also full of many moments of Joy! Our good friend Edwin got baptized last week! Everything was going well, and we were ready for his baptism last Saturday, until the day before when we got a call from the ward telling us that the church has bed bugs.... So they would be cleaning the church spraying for all these bed bugs. So Friday night was a long night figuring everything out for this baptism. We were able to get permission to baptize him at another church building, we called all the members and were able to get them to come to his baptism at the church building in Manhattan on 66th Street. That building is the Temple/Church. They are in the same building which is very cool! Awesome experience for Edwin, he was so happy he was getting baptized there.

Well if everyone remembers Elias he was the one we baptized a little over a month ago he was able to get the priesthood. We invited him to baptize Edwin!! It was an amazing time! Seeing Elias baptizing for the first time and Edwin being baptized they were both so happy! It brought great Joy!! The BEST part is Elias and Edwin are now like best friends!! They have the same hobbies and are homies, we are also sharing the after baptism messages with them together!! It has truly been blessed here in Manhattan and I am so grateful to be able to be a part of the Lord's work! I love seeing how joy comes from serving and also comes from living the Gospel.

Hope everyone is doing well, also hope my amazing brother Kurtis has a great time coming home this week! Love you brother, grateful for your example you have been to me and everyone these last 2 years! Everyone have a great week!!
