🏝Best Island🏝

12/12/22

Yo! Hope everyone is doing well. So CRAZY Christmas is like 2 weeks away, nothing better then Christmas time. Especially being able to testify about Jesus Christ during the Christmas season! I Truly love Jesus Christ and being a missionary!!

So the update from this last week, it is freezing season. Super cold and been rainy lots this week! Our friend Jerome is an absolute legend!! He got baptized and it took 7 missionaries to help him. It was such a fun time helping him come closer to our Heavenly Father and honestly as missionaries coming closer to our Heavenly Father together as we all pitched in to help him. To keep this long story short of why there was 7 missionaries that helped him was because one set of missionaries was able to find him and start teaching him only to find out that he did not live in their area. Which was then passed to my companion and I, we were able to prepare him and keep helping him get ready for baptism and then found out that he lived one street out of our area... so then it was passed again to other missionaries. We all just know that Jerome has lots of friends now :)

My time has come to an end here in Long Island. Long Island is so blessed and has changed me forever. I have had so many opportunities to grow, learn and I will be forever grateful for my time here. There will be so many Miracles that I will never forget. But I am now headed to a new place, it's not even in New York.... I am going to Bridgeport Connecticut! So this will be a new experience for sure. One day I will return back to the city! But I am sure excited to be apart of the Lord's work in Connecticut. Miss you and love you all!

Joy

12/5/2022

Wazzup?!

How is everyone? It has been a little while since I sent an email. Truly the mission has and will keep changing me forever! Writing these emails are so hard because I can't describe how much I love my mission and how much Joy I am actually feeling being in the service of our Heavenly Father and in the service of others!

Been focusing lots on diligence and desire recently and have grown a lot from really focusing on that. Lots of Miracles have been happening in NYC here is a scripture that explains it. "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." Truly have seen lots of that recently, lots of mountains have been moved in my life and in the life's of the friends we are teaching. We were struggling with getting people to church and now we are getting families and lots of our good friends coming and progressing. It's amazing! Truly the impossible can become possible with God's help! Super excited to be teaching this family. Feel Truly blessed!

Super grateful for everyone and the holiday season! Love you all have a great week!
